This week on The Bachelor Season 15, Brad takes the remaining ladies to beautiful and exotic Costa Rica.

The week included two individual dates and a group date.

Chantal’s Second Date

Even though Britt and Alli have yet to have a one-on-one date with Brad, he invites Chantal on her second date. He hopes to find that strong, confident side of her that he’s sure is in there. First, they experience the longest zipline in the world, which is situated 600 feet above ground. But just before they begin, rain starts to pour. This doesn’t deter Chantal, who is rearing to go. But Brad’s wall of confidence shatters. Chantal straps in first and shows Brad the ropes, quite literally. Later, they sit down to a romantic picnic dinner only to be rained out in minutes. They rush, soaking wet, into Brad’s suite, where Chantal changes into one of his shirts, which the other girls don’t appreciate when she returns home later that night.

The Repelling Michelle

Next, Alli discovers that she gets the final one-on-one when all the other girls are invited on the group date. Jackie faces her fear of heights when she finds out they will be repelling down a waterfall. But calming Jackie’s nerves is the least of Brad’s problems. Michelle gives Brad the stink eye while all the ladies descend the wall. She then proceeds to punch him for breaking his promise to never repel down a wall with another woman. Brad remedies the situation by repelling side by side with Michelle. But of course, easing one jealous woman’s heart only breeds more jealous women.

Later, while hot-tubbing with the girls, Jackie asks why Brad didn’t descend the waterfall with her when he knew how terrified she was. Michelle continues her to tirelessly question Brad’s decisions. When she says that Chantal should have been sent home, Brad’s hackles go up. Clearly, he has real feelings for Chantal, and Michelle’s speculation is finally making him see the true blackness in her heart. Brad decides to not give out a rose on the group date, which leads to more Michelle problems.

Alli and The Bugs

But before that, Brad takes Alli on the final one-on-one date. It’s a perfect setting to appeal to Alli’s extreme fear of bugs. First, he takes her horseback riding. Then, they fight through a dark cave filled with rushing water, bats and, of course, massive spiders. Alli handles the spider better than she handles a much smaller beetle that Chantal tried to shove in her face earlier in the episode. Afterwards, they have dinner in a dream-like setting. But the date is far from a dream. Brad can’t move the conversation beyond small talk, and he instantly knows that there’s no connection. He doesn’t give her a rose and sends her home.

Michelle’s Unwelcomed Visit

Later, Michelle visits his hotel room, hoping to continue their conversation on Brad’s bad decisions. She lists off the girls who should go home, and Brad starts to see the crazy side of her. At the cocktail party, Brad turns the tables around and asks Michelle why she thinks she knows him so well—a question that evokes tears. But are they tears of real vulnerability, or tears to attract pity? At the rose ceremony, it only seems logical that he send Michelle home. But clearly he hasn’t given up hope for her yet. Instead, he says goodbye to Jackie, who is as pure as Michelle is evil.
