With only a few more episodes until the two-hour season finale, Desperate Housewives takes an interesting turn.

Susan and Mike have had to abstain from sex for six weeks following Susan’s kidney transplant. And as the six-week mark draws near, Susan begins having dreams—sexual dreams—about Paul Young. At first, they feel like nightmares. After all, he was her mortal enemy before he agreed to give her his late wife’s kidney.

But when Susan sees the way Paul has let himself and his home go, her philanthropist side takes over. She offers to help him, despite Mike’s feelings about the situation. And in doing so, they lay the first few bricks to a potential friendship.

Forbidden Friendship

Carlos has banned Gabby from seeing or talking to Bree. But forbidden is an enticing word for Gabby, and she makes an extra effort to see Bree. She even plans a weekend spa getaway for the two of them, telling Carlos that she has to attend an old friend’s funeral. But one quick look inside the suitcase tells Carlos that Gabby has been lying through her teeth.

Schmoozing with the Bigwigs

One of the many perks of Tom’s new job is invitations to prestigious events. When Lynette finds out that she and Tom are invited to a conference with the Fortune 500, she’s overjoyed. She can’t wait to listen to the keynote speakers, like author Chris Cavanaugh.

But when they arrive, Lynette learns that the “plus ones” like her are not permitted to listen to the speakers or participate in any of the events. Instead they are entertained with crafts, margaritas and a day at the spa. Infuriated, Lynette steals the passcard of one of the business people, only to discover that she was to present the speaker. Tom is humiliated and infuriated when Lynette makes a scene in front of a roomful of the high-level executives.

A Haunting Memory

Discovering that Felicia Tilman has been granted a humanitarian release from prison, Karen recalls a haunting memory that the two shared before Felicia’s stint in jail. While searching her garden for her missing cat, Karen ran into Felicia, who was running from her home in the dead of the night, hands soaked in blood.

Felicia planned to stage her own death in order to get Paul Young convicted for murdering her sister. And she asked Karen to tell anyone who asked that she did not see her on that night. In present day, Felicia thanked Karen for keeping her secret. She told another story to win Karen’s allegiance, a story that would pit her against Paul Young.
